The leg disaster continues

Rather than walking out of the hospital I now have another 4 weeks in full cast. that’s going to be 11 in total. Gutted. Bye bye to my fitness for 2010. Not good for a man who gets kicks from running around! RIP BMF, Tri Club and Roadie bike.

There isn’t any! I have been working hard on the freelance front down at Access and juggling some big updates for Avecto at the same time. I still have a broken ankle in pot and i’m so unbelievably fed up of it! 2 more weeks then Peel is back on the road. Well, as much as I can be. An arduous 3 monts of rehab ahead, with 6-12 months further ankle swelling to deal with. Looks like the pool and hopefully the bike will be my weapons of choice in the fitness stakes. Might even join a gym as getting to BMF looks unlikely for a quite a while with the amount of running involved there.
Big plans for 2011. MAssive skiing holiday and Kilimanjaro. Look out world.

Whoops

After 2 days of the most tremendous walking and climbing in the snow and ice of the lake district, I’ve gone and broken my ankle. I went sliding down a slope, the crampon jammed into a submerged rock and momentum flipped me over, snapping the ankle in the process. Absolutely gutted as I was really on top of my training and all set for the skiing holiday next week.
Anyway, other than a re-casting next week, it is business as usual for me here, and I now have bandwidth for the 18th-23rd, if anyone needs some freelance help!

Apparently, “Now web designers and developers can join the iPhone app party without having to learn Cocoa’s Objective-C programming language. It’s true: You can write iPhone apps quickly and efficiently using your existing skills with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.”

Xmas break? Done. Wonder how i’ll sleep tonight. Sunday nights are never good, let alone after a holiday.
I’m off in to see Access Digital again for the next 10 days or so to do the front end development on a top secret project. Better hope I remember my HMLT, SCS and Javacrisps.
